The Camillus Impulse II™ 7.75″ Folding Knife features a 2.75″ drop point blade made of AUS-8 steel bonded with Carbonitride Titanium. All together, this material makeup affords incredible resistance to rust and corrosion and is up to 10x harder than untreated steel. This way, the blade can stay sharper for much longer. The AUS-8 steel, a Japanese medium-carbon, high-chromium stainless steel, also provides more than just basic durability. AUS-8 strikes an exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance, while also ranking among the hardest, toughest, and most rust-resistant knife steels. It’s a tried and true favorite that enthusiasts prefer time and time again. To compliment the robust blade of the Impulse II™, the handle is made of G10, an extremely durable makeup of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin, then highly compressed and baked.
